Liverpool Could Finally Complete Deal To Sign ‘Extraordinary’ 31-Goal Striker Thanks To Champions League

Alexandre Lacazette has been one of the hottest strikers in France for a number of years and this season does seem to be his last for Lyon. The 25-year-old has consistently found the back of the net this season as well with Arsenal and Liverpool seemingly fighting for his signature.

While Arsenal might have a bit of an advantage as they have Arsene Wenger, French publication RMC claims that Liverpool could be racing ahead of the Gunners for Lacazette as they could offer him Champions League football.

The Reds do have a better chance of making it to that competition at the end of the season and truth be told, it will take a minor miracle for Arsenal to make it to the Champions League next season.

Lacazette has scored 31 goals in all competitions for Lyon this season and they will finish fourth in Ligue 1 but playing in the Premier League and Champions League could be a real test for one of the best strikers France has produced in recent years with Thierry Henry Hailing

 him as ‘extraordinary’.

Liverpool have their own problems with the striking department as Daniel Sturridge has struggled to stay fit and play games on a consistent basis. The Englishman is one of a handful of players who is set to leave Anfield next season.

The 25-year-old Lacazette might not be the player that defends from the front for Klopp but that wouldn’t stop the German from bringing in quality to the side. Lacazette would certainly find the back of the net should he move to England but that depends on Liverpool doing well till the end of the season.

The Reds have only one target on their mind and that is finishing in the top four. They first face Crystal Palace at Anfield with a number of first team players injured. A top four finish wouldn’t just open the doors for Lacazette but also for a number of other players which will surely make Liverpool one of the favourites for the title next season.
