Frimpong played a pivotal role in Leverkusen’s historic Bundesliga victory, marking the club’s first league title in over a century. His exceptional performance throughout the season, particularly as a defender, has been noteworthy, amassing an impressive tally of 13 goals and 11 assists in 41 appearances

across all competitions at just 23 years old.

In an interview with Goal, Jeremie Frimpong revealed his best XI from the Premier League’s top three clubs: Liverpool, Manchester City, and Arsenal. His selection notably leaned heavily towards Liverpool, with stars like Alisson, Van Dijk, Konate, Andy Robertson, and Salah making the cut.

Frimpong’s choices reflect his high regard for Liverpool’s talent, acknowledging the prowess of players who may not always receive as much media attention as their counterparts from Arsenal and City.

Liverpool truly has a good bunch of players

Liverpool and Arsenal have emerged as fierce rivals in the race for the Premier League title, with managers Jurgen Klopp and Mikel Arteta leading their respective teams in the battle for dominance in the 2023/24 season.

While Arsenal may have the upper hand in terms of Premier League titles, Liverpool boasts a rich history and is considered one of the most successful clubs in European football. When it comes to silverware, the Merseysiders hold a significant advantage over their London counterparts.

In head-to-head matchups, Liverpool has historically dominated Arsenal in competitive fixtures, with 241 encounters dating back to 1893. The Reds have secured 95 victories compared to Arsenal’s 83, with 64 matches ending in draws.

The current season has presented some challenges for Liverpool, despite undergoing a complete managerial change at Anfield. Nevertheless, the club remains determined to compete for the Premier League title. Currently, they sit in third place in the standings, just five points behind Arsenal, who currently hold the top spot.

Despite the obstacles they’ve faced, Liverpool are still within striking distance of the league leaders and will continue to push for success as the season progresses.
