Bad News As Liverpool New Signing Picks Up A Head Injury With International Team

Our new signing is a winner! Well, Dominic Solanke is. The new recruit from Chelsea played a massive role in England’s U20 win in the World Cup final against Venezuela.

The former Chelsea man didn’t get on the scoresheet but he did provide the ball for the only goal of the game and ensured England picked up the trophy.

There was a concern for us fans though as he did pick up a head injury during the game. The last thing we would need is one of the brightest talents in English football picking up a big injury and he did seem to be in a lot of pain as you can see in the video.

It was a pretty ugly clash of heads and we can see blood spilling out as our new striker lay on the floor while the paramedics rushed to deal with the injury.

That still didn’t actually stop the lads from picking up the title and hopefully, Solanke can win a few more.

The former Chelsea striker does have a great record in the youth setup but barely made a dent when he was shipped out to Vitesse Arnhem on loan.

He did, however, do extremely well in the recent World Cup and even picked up the Golden Ball trophy.

There are many things expected of Solanke and hopefully, under Klopp he can grow and get better.

We do need young players coming through the side and with the likes of Ben Woodburn and Rhian Brewster coming through the academy, the Liverpool attack does look to be extremely well-stocked for a number of years.

Hopefully, Solanke and the other strikers will get a run out in the upcoming season thanks to the number of European and English cup games.

We didn’t really have a lot of options on the bench last season when Daniel Sturridge was out injured and Divock Origi would give us just one dimension in attack. Solanke is an out and out striker and maybe, just maybe, he will step up and be the difference maker in the attack.
