Major U-turn In Naby Keita’s Transfer Brings Liverpool Closer To Signing The £60m Star Midfielder

Another twist in the Naby Keita is on the cards now as Sky Sports, via their transfer blog, have claimed that RB Leipzig, the Bundesliga side are now willing to sell their star midfielder despite officials like Ralf Rangnick stating that the Guinea international is not for sale.

The report also claims that we would be immediately submitting a bid of £60million for the midfielder with the hopes of clinching the deal as quickly as possible.

This is in stark contrast to the position the German club held a few weeks back where they were not relenting on letting any of their players leave. It seems our persistence has finally paid off and the 22-year-old will become a Red before the end of the window.

Jurgen Klopp had his heart set out on bringing the Leipzig man to Anfield and it seems this new twist in the tale all but confirms the move for Keita.

The 22-year-old was one of the best players in the Bundesliga and while the club will be playing in the Champions League next season, Klopp’s admiration of the player has certainly won him over at least.

The report claims that Keita wants to move to Anfield and is attracted by Klopp and his playing style. What now seems to be working for us is the fact that the German manager can attract players from all around, such as the signings of Joel Matip and Georginio Wijnaldum last time around, and his magic has worked once again.

Keita would be an excellent signing for us given that he is a beast in midfield and can score goals too. The dream pairing would be including Jordan Henderson as the other midfielder, but Emre Can and Wijnaldum would have a thing or two to say about that.

The £60million price tag might seem huge for a player who has had just one good season in the top flight of Germany but this is the inflated market we are working in. Leipzig know that we want this player and with FSG, surprisingly, willing to spend big, things are looking up for us in the transfer front.

Mohamed Salah has already joined us and this would be a great transfer window and hopefully, should lead to great things this season.
