Liverpool Could Finally End Transfer Saga As Target’s Club Is Already Looking For His Replacement

Some good news is on the horizon for Liverpool fans as reports from Germany suggest that RB Leipzig are preparing for life after Naby Keita and are searching for his replacement.

The Bild claims that the club’s sporting director Ralf Rangnick has sent out scouts to find the next Keita, as the Bundesliga side are bracing themselves for the loss of the 22-year-old Guinean.

The German publication had also reported that we bid for the Leipzig midfielder with a £74million

package. This was our third bid and it seems to have turned the wheels at the club, with a lot of action taking place behind the scenes.

Jurgen Klopp had recognised Keita as being one of our priority signings in the summer and the Guinean is one step closer to putting on the Red of Liverpool.

Breaking Leipzig Has Been Difficult

It has been a frustrating time dealing with Leipzig and their insistence on not selling the 22-year-old. Rangnick consistently brushed aside our advances for Keita and even added that the club are under no obligation to sell and are that they are not in financial difficulties.

Keita was the second best player in the Bundesliga last season and given his excellent return in front of goal, 8 scored and 8 goals assisted, the 22-year-old could be the midfield dynamo we have been searching for.

The signing of Keita would certainly push us into the “favourites” category for the Premier League title and also increase the competition for the starting places in our side. We would have a lot of quality on the bench too, as the likes of Emre Can or Georginio Wijnaldum would be sacrificed to fit Keita into the team.

This season does feel different to our normal excursions into the transfer market where we don’t usually meet the big prices asked by teams for our targets. We already broke our transfer record when we signed Mohamed Salah from AS Roma and Keita’s fee would easily surpass that of the Egyptian’s.

Klopp seems to have caught FSG by the scruff of their necks and should we complete this deal soon, we might just have signed a player that can transform our fortunes next season.
