Liverpool Could Soon Complete A Deal With Championship Club For Highly-rated Pre-season Star Kent

One of the stars of pre-season, Ryan Kent, is expected to leave Liverpool on loan before the transfer window closes. The 20-year-old was on loan at Coventry City during the 2015-16 season, where he impressed for the side. Now, the Coventry Telegraph reports that the Englishman is wanted by Middlesbrough as well.

Kent has been one of our rising stars and recently signed a new deal to stay at the club for a longer period. The 20-year-old was impressive during preseason and did extremely well in the win over Bayern Munich as well.

It is because of such displays that more clubs are interested in him, as the report claims that clubs like Aston Villa, Hull City, Derby County and Leeds United are chasing the winger. While playing for Barnsley last season, Kent was named as the young player of the season.

The 20-year-old scored thrice for the side in 47 games in all competitions and certainly caused a number of problems to the opposition defence last season. Kent has been looking to break into the first team for a while and Jurgen Klopp even added that the youngster could stay with the side ahead of this season.

The youngster also spoke about his future at the club and was open to moving to another team for game time. Speaking to Liverpool’s official website, he said:

“It’s about getting game time, whether that’s here or on loan.

“Wherever I am, I want to be among the team and don’t want to halt my progression as a player. If that means going on loan to get game time, then that’s what it’ll be.

“But right now I am just concentrating on my time here at Liverpool and if I can push into the first team then I will try to do that.”

Kent also spoke about his dream of playing for Liverpool and how the club has the right foundations for him to get better.

“Committing myself to Liverpool is a very big thing, so I’d like to become a fully-fledged member of the team and become a regular starter.

“It’s the team I’ve dreamed myself playing for since I was seven years old, so that’s where I’d like to see myself in the future.

“I am with a manager here that is willing to play young players and invest his time into my progression as a player. Liverpool has the right foundations to make me a good player in the future.”

While the youngster is saying the right things, he does have to move away from the side at the moment due to the competition in the side.

What Klopp could do is include a clause that would allow us to call him back as soon as we want him and if he progresses as we expect, Kent will have a bright future.
