Promising Liverpool Starlet Scores A Hat-trick To Take England U17 Side To World Cup Final

Rhian Brewster

This has been a summer to remember for various youth teams of the English side and the latest one making the news is the U17 side playing at the World Cup in India. A number of players have been on fire for the Three Lions and Rhian Brewster, a Liverpool lad, scored a hat-trick to take England into the final.

The match was against another quality side, Brazil and the English side swept past the Samba boys. Brewster scored his 7th goal of the competition as he took England to the final and the Liverpool youngster is also the highest scorer in the competition.

England will face Spain in the final and it will be another fantastic game for sure. After this tournament, many would be wanting to know more about our rising star in Brewster.

Rhian Brewster

Who is the new Liverpool sensation?

Brewster is just like a current first-team member Dominic Solanke and the youngster moved from Chelsea to join us when he was in his formative years. The 17-year-old was born in London and joined us when he was just 15 but moving to another big club has not hurt his prospects of turning into one of the best in the world.

It didn’t take long for the English striker to show his skill as he was on fire for the youth teams and he was given a chance to be in the match day squad during a 2-1 loss at the hands of Crystal Palace in April 2017.

The 17-year-old has been playing a number of games for the U23 side and looks set to be the next player to break into our first team.

Although he has been playing at a higher level, that hasn’t fazed him much and the Englishman, who can play across the front-line could be the finisher we have been looking for from the academy.

With Ben Woodburn mostly playing out wide and Brewster lining up down the middle, it does look like the future is bright for us at least in terms of attacking talent.

With the way this season has gone, it would not be a surprise to see Brewster be given a chance to impress in the first team. He would be a breath of fresh air and maybe it is this injection of youthful exuberance that can fix our attack, if not the defence.
