Carra Raves About £34m Liverpool Summer Signing “Already looks to be worth more than he cost”

Mohamed Salah has been the only player who has been on fire this season for Liverpool. The signing from Roma might have been a little expensive but it seems like a cheap deal at the moment given that he has already scored 12 goals for us in all competitions.

The 25-year-old has been electric in front of goal and all the doubts about his hefty price tag seems to be an actual steal compared to some of the other deals that took place in the summer window.

There were a number of people who were worried that Salah would not be able to bring his Roma form back to England after his poor showing with Chelsea. The Egyptian was sent off to Fiorentina on loan by the Blues before he joined the Italians but he has been a different beast for us this time around.

Jamie Carragher is just one of a handful of people who have shared their views on the 25-year-old and the former Liverpool defender has claimed that the arrival of Salah for £34m

has been the best bit of business this summer.

“Of all the transfers last summer, none has had more impact than Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah,” he told The Telegraph.

“When I saw Salah score his first for the club at Watford on the opening day, I felt this was a player who would score 15 this season. I underestimated. He is on schedule to get 25.

“Paying over £35 million seemed risky, but as was the case with Mane, Salah already looks to be worth more than he cost.”

The Egyptian has also assisted 4 goals and should have actually scored a lot more than the 12 he has to his name this season. Salah has not actually had a chance to play a lot of games with our first choice like Adam Lallana, Sadio Mane and Philippe Coutinho, who have all missed chunks of this season due to injuries and even suspensions.

Should we get our best team playing together, there is no doubt that we can do a lot of damage to almost every club in the country. Mo Salah is a wonderful signing for us and let’s hope he remains wonderful throughout his Liverpool career.
