Liverpool offer Marouane Fellaini a three-year contract – French reports

According to French publication L’Equipe, Liverpool are keen to sign Marouane Fellaini and have offered the Manchester United midfielder a three-year deal.

The Belgian international is out-of-contract this summer and has a right to stage talks with foreign clubs. As per various reports

Now, L’Equipe claims that Liverpool have offered the United midfielder a shocking three-year contract, amidst interest from Besiktas, Monaco, Paris-Saint-Germain and various Chinese clubs.

The report adds that French giants PSG and Monaco are keen on signing the Belgian midfielder but will face major competition from Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

The 30-year-old did not make a single appearance for the Red Devils in February due to injury and has missed the last two games because of what is believed to be a knee problem.

According to the Independent, Fellaini would represent a cheap alternative for Liverpool midfielder Emre Can, whose contract at Anfield also expires in the summer.

Fellaini has endured a mixed spell at Old Trafford since signing from Everton in 2013.

In my opinion, the 30-year-old is a complete misfit to our club’s attacking style of football. The Belgian is too slow to play in central midfield and might not be able to settle down in a fast-paced team like ours.
