Jurgen Klopp plotting ruthless £100million clear-out at Liverpool – report

According to the Daily Mirror, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wants to trim his squad and could offload up to eight players ahead of the new Premier League campaign. Divock Origi and Danny Ings top Liverpool’s summer clear-out as Klopp eyes up to £100million

through sales.

Origi is not a part of Klopp’s plans going forward and will be allowed to leave, with Valencia reportedly keen on the player. The Reds would look to command a fee in the region of £26million for Origi, who spent last season on loan at Wolfsburg.

Danny Ings could follow Origi’s footsteps out of Anfield this summer. The former Burnley man, who is getting back to full fitness following a nasty knee injury, has attracted interest from Leicester, Newcastle, West Ham, Southampton and Crystal Palace. Our club wants £20m for Ings, reports the Daily Mirror.

Much-maligned goalkeeper Loris Karius is considering his Liverpool future following the arrival of Alisson Becker from AS Roma. Interestingly, the report claims Premier League new-boys Fulham have made an enquiry but could be priced out due to the deal being expensive.

Other players who could move on include Lazar Markovic

. The Serbian has just one year remaining on his contract but the Reds want to recoup in the region of £7million for the high-flying winger, who has reportedly attracted interest from Anderlecht, Getafe and Leganes.

Meanwhile, Marko Grujic will go out on loan again, with promoted Premier League side Cardiff City keen to take him back. But they face competition from Serie A side Lazio.

Teenage prodigy Ben Woodburn made just one appearance last season and our gaffer wants him to go out on loan to get regular game time. Championship duo Sheffield United and Norwich City are interested in the 18-year-old, adds the Daily Mirror.

Pedro Chiravella is a target for Sporting Lisbon while Sheyi Ojo could be farmed out on loan again.

After we have signed a host of stars in the summer transfer window, it is important for our manager to maintain balance in our squad and offload the deadwood to recoup some cash.
