“Football is crazy”: Liverpool target’s father leaves door open for player’s exit from current club

Christian Pulisic’s father has confirmed that the Premier League is an option for the American and gave hope to a number of clubs who have been keeping tabs on the 19-year-old.

The Borussia Dortmund star has been linked with a move to Liverpool for a while and even Jurgen Klopp had stated that he could be a Red someday in the future.

Mark Pulisic was quoted by Liverpool Echo as claiming that there are no guarantees in football and that no one could suggest that staying in Dortmund was the right thing for the teen sensation.

“Football is crazy. You have to go with the flow and make sure the player feels comfortable, whatever the decision is. There’s no magic formula. Is it right to stay at Dortmund? Who knows.

“Is it right to move to another club? He might think it is, or someone else might think it is, but it might not be in the player’s mind.”

The senior Pulisic also added that all he could do was keep the player (his son) informed about the latest happenings. The final decision, however, would be up to Christian about what to do. Mark also spoke about the Premier League and how Christian wants to play in England.

“The Premier League is a league where he’s always aspired to be in and play in.”

Christian’s father rounded it off by even adding that not many players remain in one club throughout their career and that there is a “high probability” that the Dortmund attacker could be on the move.

The 19-year-old is one of the brightest players in the world and has done a lot of good work in Dortmund. He is still young and has a number of years left in him at the top level, so if the Bundesliga side do decide to sell him, it would be for a huge fee.

Liverpool might have signed a number of players this summer but a future move for the American cannot be ruled out. Klopp seems to be a fan of Christian and it will be interesting to see what happens in the upcoming transfer windows.
