Here’s what happened with the entire Nabil Fekir saga

Liverpool’s move to sign Nabil Fekir fell at the last minute, according to a report from the Liverpool Echo.

The Lyon attacker also recorded an unveiling film with the club’s channel and had agreed to personal terms until an issue cropped up after his medical, claims the Liverpool Echo

Fekir could have been a Liverpool player had the deal gone through in June but he went on to win the World Cup with France.

However, the Reds did not go back in for the Lyon star and the Liverpool Echo claim that we would only be looking to sign the attacker if we believe the terms are right for the club.

The report highlighted examples of Alisson and Virgil van Dijk

For Van Dijk, we had to wait until the January to get him in from Southampton. The Liverpool Echo says we were willing to wait until AS Roma had reduced their price for the 25-year-old Alisson.

While Lyon have been speaking out about the future of the 25-year-old, the Liverpool Echo claim that it was Liverpool’s decision to pull out of the move and not the other way around.

The report was still coy about whether Liverpool would go back in for Fekir but having the Frenchman at the club would certainly make our attack extra special.
