Liverpool are preparing hard for their season opener against a new look West Ham United and Anfield will be excited as the Reds take the field in a competitive fixture for the first time this season.
Jurgen Klopp bought four players in the summer while keeping hold of our stars – Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
However, another player who seems to be getting better with each game under his belt is the ever-reliable James Milner.
The Englishman was seen working hard on the training ground with a bandaged head. The former Manchester City midfielder picked up a nasty gash during a pre-season game but that has not stopped him from putting the miles under his belt.
Similarly, another old boy that seems to be on fire at the moment is Daniel Sturridge. The English striker was in wonderful form during pre-season and he should look to bag a few goals in the current campaign if he can keep his fitness.
One man who has been brilliant since joining us is Xherdan Shaqiri. The Swiss star was also training ahead of the West Ham clash and his goal against Manchester United is something that we would all remember.

The Reds have also brought in Alisson and Naby Keita this season and it will be interesting to see just how well the new boys adjust to a Premier League match on Sunday after having impressed during pre-season.
