Jurgen Klopp delivers major warning to Liverpool players who complain about lack of game time

As per a report from Daily Express, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has informed our players to take extra responsibility to force their way back into his plans on the training ground.

Klopp seemed to be aware of the fact that competition for places is so fierce at Anfield that even some massive money signings could find themselves frequently axed from matchday squads (h/t Daily Express)

The Reds had a busy summer transfer window with our manager purchasing quality players to improve the club’s chances of winning the Premier League this term. Due to the influx of new players, Klopp will have a selection headache ahead of every game.

But Klopp insisted his players should stop sulking and blaming the manager (h/t Daily Express

“Whatever happens on August 31, it is clear that is the squad for the next four months until January…but I cannot make people happy,” Klopp told ahead of Liverpool’s trip to Crystal Palace on Monday. (h/t The Express)

“Who cannot be happy being part of the squad at Liverpool, I cannot help.

“What I can do is say everyone who trains on his highest level has a big chance to be an important part of the team, to stay in the team and all these things. That makes us happy.

“If someone has a problem with it, he will have a problem with me because he does not respect the situation.”

Klopp has a tough decision at hand. Ahead of Monday’s trip to Crystal Palace, the German gaffer must plan out his starting XI and as usual, there could be some high-profile axings. But that’s the way it works for big clubs where healthy competition is required to flourish.

Competition for places can create conflict among the players but it is absolutely necessary since it often acts as a catalyst for innovation and improvement at the club.
