Liverpool confirmed that midfielder Marko Grujic would be moving to Hertha Berlin on a season-long loan after signing a new deal with the club.
The 22-year-old Serbian had been linked with a move away from the club in the summer (h/t Express
) and will join the Bundesliga club, subject to international clearance. The Serbian spent the second half of last season with Cardiff and he helped the side gain promotion to the Premier League.
He was also a part of the World Cup squad that took part in Russia but didn’t get time on the pitch. The Serbian needs game time this season and sending him away on loan is the right decision from the club.
The 22-year-old will look to continue performing at the top level with Berlin and a few Liverpool fans tweeted their support to the youngster.
