Former Liverpool forward Raheem Sterling has hit a roadblock regarding a contract extension with Manchester City, as per the Guardian.
The Englishman quit Liverpool to join the Cityzens in 2015 and currently earns around £170,000-
a-week. But the report adds Sterling wants to earn a basic £220,000-per-week.Manchester City have a five-year deal with the player but cannot extend it by another 12 months, as per the report.
The forward is considered one of the best in England and would be on the final year of his contract next summer.
The Englishman had rejected a contract from Liverpool worth £100,000 (h/t Telegraph) before joining City.
