Xherdan Shaqiri came on as a substitute in our incredible win over Paris Saint-Germain but couldn’t get on the score-sheet.
The former Stoke City player replaced Mohamed Salah as we looked for the winning goal but there was a nasty moment that a few Liverpool fans noticed.
Shaqiri went up to take a corner and some PSG fans threw a bottle at him. This came in the second half at the away end and it was a bit surprising the referees didn’t take action.
PSG were showing such class weren’t they…. chucking shit at Shaqiri when he went to take the throw in. Applaudable That. And no – I don’t call booing particularly hostile. When I go red star away – then I’ll see hostile.

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻PSG fans sang all through the match last night. Well done. No need to throw bottles at Shaquiri though! 😂

PSG fans were unreal tonight! Constantly changing and cheering throughout the game, crested such an atmosphere at their end, just a shame some dickheads decided to throw bottles at shaqiri

Don’t forget #LFC fans the bottle that PSG fans throwed to Shaqiri in the match. Must be punished @ChampionsLeague @UEFA

Credit to PSG fans (bottle throwing at shaqiri aside) never stopped singing 👏👏

The PSG fans were in great spirits throughout the game as they sang despite being down 2-0. Liverpool were the better side in the game but PSG fought back to make the scores 2-2 with just seven minutes of normal time left.
It was lucky that no player was hit as missiles and projectiles can cause a lot of damage and the only thing hurt was PSG’s pride.

The away side wasn’t great and two minor mistakes from Liverpool led to the goals. Roberto Firmino came up with some brilliance at the end, however, and continued our winning streak. Hopefully, we will build on this and continue performing at this level.
