Derby don’t have option to sign Liverpool starlet permanently after loan deal

Derby County do not have the option to make Harry Wilson’s loan a permanent deal, according to ESPN.

The Welshman was adjudged the man-of-the-match in Derby’s win over Manchester United in the Carabao Cup.

The 21-year-old joined the Championship side on loan in the summer and opened his scoring in the previous came for his new side.

Wilson scored a brilliant free-kick at Old Trafford and even converted his penalty during the shoot-out to dump the Red Devils out.

The report adds that the 21-year-old signed a new contract with the Reds before joining the Rams in the summer. As many as 12 English clubs enquired Wilson’s availability and Liverpool believed Derby would be the best option for his development.

The report further claims that the Welshman is on course in his development and will return to Anfield after this season, looking to break into the first-team.

The forward spent the second half of last season on loan at Hull City and was a hit with the Tigers. The starlet scored seven times and assisted three more goals but Hull missed out on promotion to the Premier League.

The 21-year-old is one of the highest-rated youngsters in the Liverpool team and it is great that he is doing well for his new side too.

It will be important to track his performances for the rest of the campaign. And hopefully, Wilson will bag a few more goals and become a big player for us in the coming years.
