Daniel Sturridge had a great September for Liverpool. Even though the Reds were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Chelsea and lost to Napoli in the Champions League, Sturridge scored a couple of fantastic goals against his former employers.
His strike against the Blues at Stamford Bridge will be remembered for long. Liverpool looked to be out of the game but the Englishman came up with a majestic hit from outside the box in the final moments of the game.
The 29-year-old hasn’t started many games but is doing a great job off the bench. Sturridge was named as Liverpool’s player of the month for his performances in September.
The Englishman will have a huge role to play for us as the season progresses and several fans were pleased that the striker got his reward for some excellent games.
