Kieran Morrison has secured his spot in the Liverpool FC family by bagging his first professional contract with the Reds. At just 17, he’s been lighting up the U18s squad, making waves under the watchful eye of Marc Bridge-Wilkinson.
Originally from Manchester, Morrison’s journey to Liverpool is a classic tale of switching sides – he swapped the red of Manchester United for the even brighter red of Liverpool at U14 level. And boy, are we glad he did!
This season, Morrison’s been on fire, tearing up the pitch and showing off his skills in both the U18s and U21s teams. His versatility has seen him feature all over the place, and boss it as well. [Official Report here].
With an eye for goal and an ability to create scoring opportunities, Morrison has been a prolific contributor, notching up an impressive tally of 13 goals, including some stunning strikes from long range, and providing seven assists so far.
In his recent standout performance against Sunderland, he found the back of the net twice while donning the captain’s armband. Not only did he bag a brace, but he did it while leading the team as captain. Talk about making a statement!
Now, with his first pro contract in hand, Morrison’s ready to take his game to the next level. Hopefully, he continues to grow, rise and shine beyond potential and become a first-team superstar sooner than later, which will give the fans a lot of joy.
So here’s to Kieran Morrison – a young talent with a bright future ahead of him on Merseyside. We can’t wait to see what he’ll achieve in the famous red jersey!
