“He loved the pain he felt during the game!” – Jurgen Klopp speaks about star after first start of the season

Jurgen Klopp claimed Adam Lallana was happy to be back in the first-team, even though he felt some pains and aches from the game.

Lallana made his first start of the season against Huddersfield and did a decent job. Liverpool

won the game thanks to a Mohamed Salah effort, but we could have scored more.

Seeing Lallana back in action was a great sight as the player has a lot to offer the Reds, and Klopp spoke to LiverpoolFC about the Englishman’s return.

“He loved it, he even loved the pain he felt during the game! That’s how it is after that long period without proper football – he was fine, he just had little cramps in the calf, but it would have been a surprise if he didn’t.

“Apart from that, everything is good. It was a good game for him; it was hard work, not for shining because there was not enough space for that. The whole game was like that, but it was good to see and to have him back.”

Lallana seemed to have done really well in training as our manager claimed we could have scored four had the Englishman played in the same manner as in training.

The former Southampton player has had a rough time with injuries hampering his Liverpool career. However, if he stays fit for the rest of the campaign, Lallana will have a huge role to play as we target winning trophies with Klopp at the helm.
