£20million-rated Liverpool striker could join rival Premier League club in January

Divock Origi could be on the move in January as Wolverhampton Wanderers are willing to bid for the £20million rated striker, according to the Mirror.

The 23-year-old was linked with a move to Wolves (h/t Mirror) in the summer but remained at Liverpool. The report adds that the newly promoted side want to sign a forward as a priority in the winter window.

Origi played just 11 minutes for Liverpool in the Champions League this season and hasn’t made a start so far for the Reds.

The Belgian has fallen down the pecking order at the club with Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge and Dominic Solanke ahead of the 23-year-old.

Origi has struggled to perform in recent seasons and event spent time on loan at Lille and Wolfsburg. His stint with the German side didn’t go all that well, as he only scored six times from 34 games. Origi was great in Jurgen Klopp’s first season in charge but an injury seems to have stunted his development.

Selling the youngster would be the best option for all parties involved as Origi needs starts to develop his game.

The 23-year-old could be a decent target man for Wolves, and hopefully, Origi seals a move away from the side in the upcoming window.

Klopp has even played Mohamed Salah as a striker this season, and that gives us another option at the tip of the attack.

Liverpool return to Premier League action in a week’s time and face Watford at Vicarage Road.
