Liverpool had most of their first-team players fit for the clash against Watford but Adam Lallana did not participate at Vicarage Road.
The Englishman has had a troubled time at Liverpool in recent years and is coming back from an injury-plagued season from the last term.
The 30-year-old has picked up a slight knock and Jurgen Klopp told the club’s site:
“Adam Lallana has a minor thing that makes him unavailable for the weekend, but all the rest came back healthy from the internationals, which is brilliant.”
Lallana has been injured in this season too, and it is concerning that he cannot stay fit for a long time. The former Southampton man has a couple of Premier League starts and one Champions League start to his name this season.
The 30-year-old already is facing a lot of competition in the midfield, and many fans claimed the Englishman’s time is up at Anfield.
