Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp provided an update on the team ahead of our clash against Burnley on Wednesday.
The Reds ran out 1-0 winners over Everton in a game that saw Divock Origi score a freak goal, and Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com (h/t Liverpool Echo) that a couple of players have picked up knocks.
“We have to see, but we have options and we can make different line-ups.
“Sadio got a real knock on his foot, we’ll have to see how that is. He was so quick, unbelievable. But that’s only one thing.
“Hopefully all the rest will be okay. Robbo I think has a dead leg, his hip, so in the moment we have to see.
“Of course, we play in three days, that’s really hard. We celebrate, go home, proper sleep. Tomorrow, recovery, and then we’ll make ourselves ready for Burnley.”
Mane had a couple of quality chances on Sunday but failed to test Jordan Pickford in the Everton goal. Robertson possibly is the best left-back in the Premier League but we shouldn’t risk getting them injured for a longer duration.
The Reds have invested in the side during the summer, and Klopp should make a few changes as we face Burnley and Bournemouth away in a span of four days.
Liverpool then have a couple of huge matches against Napoli and Manchester United at Anfield. We have to be at our best against both the clubs and hopefully, have a fully fit squad for the remainder of the season.
