“We have to prove it again” – Jurgen Klopp believes Liverpool will bounce-back after blips

Jurgen Klopp was defiant that two consecutive losses for Liverpool would not mean the wheels would come off the wagon.

The Reds lost to Manchester City and then were dumped out of the FA Cup by Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Klopp played a much-changed side against the Wolves and claimed the loss was not going to affect the Reds (h/t Daily Star

“You don’t lose a game in the first part of the season and then lose your head.

“That would be strange.”

The German claimed that any team in the world could lose to City, and added that the team spoke about the defeat and how they could bounce-back.

The manager also highlighted that only insecure people were ready to speak about Liverpool’s previous collapses and how it could happen again.

Klopp was certain that the Reds would get back to our best but claimed we have to do our talking on the pitch.

“But we have to prove (that is not the case), we have to prove it on the pitch how we have done it so far, we have to prove it again.”

The Reds saw their lead cut to four points after the defeat to City but we have some easier fixtures in the coming weeks.

Our schedule is also lighter due to the elimination from the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, and we should see some of our star defenders return from injury soon.

Liverpool are in a great position to break the Premier League duck, and if we play as we did in the first half of the campaign, there will be celebrations at Anfield.
