Liverpool’s summer signing Fabinho played as a centre-back in the 1-0 win over Brighton at the weekend, and seems to be enjoying his best spell at the club.
The midfielder found it hard to break into the starting XI during his initial months at Liverpool
but seems to be in Jurgen Klopp’s plans regularly. The former Monaco star recently spoke about playing under the German, and how the manager wants the players to train with intensity and concentration.
The Brazilian was speaking to L’Equipe (h/t Express) where he highlighted the energy Klopp has even during a match:
“He wants us to always give everything, even in training, so that we reproduce that in matches.
“And since I have spent time on the bench, I have watched how he is during matches.
“He screams, shouts instructions, he is electrifying!”
Klopp is energetic on the pitch and that can be seen when things don’t go right on the pitch. He furiously waves at players and celebrates goals with a lot of gusto too.
Fabinho is right in saying that Klopp wants the players to give 100% and more, and that has seen the Reds climb to the top of the Premier League this season.
We hold a seven point lead over Manchester City ahead of their clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday.
The Reds have lost just one Premier League game all season, and Fabinho has performed admirably in some of the biggest clashes.
The Brazilian’s versatility was for all to see against Brighton, and it will be interesting to see his role when we face Crystal Palace on Saturday.
