Pascal Gross is not on Liverpool’s radar, according to BBC Radio Merseyside sports editor Ian Kennedy.
The German was fantastic for Brighton last season as they avoided relegation, but the midfielder has struggled to recapture that form in the current campaign.
The 27-year-old has just one goal and one assist to his name from 14 Premier League games and Kennedy believes the German will not be playing in the Red of Liverpool
soon. The sports editor was asked if Gross was on Jurgen Klopp’s radar on the Albion Unlimited podcast and said (h/t Daily Star):
“Not really, I have to say.”
Kennedy further claimed that Klopp plays things close to his chest regarding transfers, and doesn’t let many things out.
“As soon as someone mentions a rumour in a press conference, he completely shuts it down and says ‘we don’t talk about it’.
“He’s pretty good at not giving you any information.”
The Daily Star
claims that the German midfielder has a price-tag of £15m but gave away the penalty which helped Liverpool beat the Seagulls.Gross would be a decent option to have given our lack of creativity from the midfield, but the Reds have several options for the three starting spots.
We are yet to see Naby Keita shine since his move from RB Leipzig but Fabinho notched up another quality performance on Saturday playing in the heart of the defence.
The Brazilian has been impressive over the past couple of months, and hopefully, he puts up several quality performances before the end of the season.
