Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah deleted his social media accounts after posting a cryptic tweet earlier.
The Egyptian forward had posted a tweet which said: “2019 Resolution: Time to get in touch, for real.” and followed it up by deleting his Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.
This would come as a major shock given how active he has been on social media since his move to the Reds. The former AS Roma man has often posted pictures alongside Dejan Lovren, and it can only be speculated what his tweet actually referred to.
This could be a step to concentrate on Liverpool’s season for the rest of the season as we look to win the Premier League for the first time.
The Reds lead the table by four points ahead of Manchester City, and our next game is against Leicester City on 30 January.
Liverpool are away on a summer training camp in Dubai and this break comes at the right time after two close games.
We have a few injuries to deal with and need to have most of the squad fit for the remainder of the season.
