[Images] Liverpool stars all smiles as they train at Melwood – key star is back

Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah of Liverpool

Liverpool returned to Melwood after their mini-break in Dubai as they prepare to face Leicester City in a midweek league game.

The Reds didn’t have any domestic cup action to deal with, hence, the break would have allowed them to recharge their batteries ahead of potential stern challenges.

Mohamed Salah has been in sensational form in the past couple of months. He was seen in training with Roberto Firmino.

Dejan Lovren (L)

There was some good news for the Reds as Dejan Lovren was also pictured in training. The Croat has missed the last couple of league games but is expected to feature against Foxes.

The right-back slot is a problem with James Milner suspended and Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez still recovering from respective injuries.

We could see Rafa Camacho getting a start, however, Fabinho is expected to be ready by Wednesday and start in that position.

Andy Robertson is having a great season for Liverpool, and his runs down the left will be important if we are to win against Leicester.

Liverpool need their attack to fire on all cylinders, and Sadio Mane should start at Anfield on Wednesday.

Xherdan Shaqiri could start for the Reds if we play the 4-2-3-1 system. The Swiss has scored some crucial goals, and his form could be pivotal in our title run-in.

The Reds have seen several players hit the heights this season but we are yet to see the best of Naby Keita. The Guinea midfielder hasn’t often been played in midfield, and hopefully, he performs well in the remainder of the campaign.

Leicester won’t be easy fodder for the Reds given their propensity to score against us. Hopefully, we come out with the three points and keep a four-point lead over Manchester City after the next round of fixtures.
