Liverpool’s act of kindness for an ailing 8-year-old boy is simply heartwarming

Liverpool players celebrate

Liverpool have done a lot of fan service in recent months. The Reds had called a supporter with a partial vision to visit the manager and the players, and even met a 104-year-old supporter after the 4-3 win over Crystal Palace.

Another fan Chris Geldard posted about his son getting spinal traction and wanted some of the players to wish the youngster on his birthday.

Several current and former Liverpool players, including Ian Rush, Alisson Becker and Xherdan Shaqiri wished Oliver on his birthday. Liverpool CEO Peter Moore added that there would be a surprise for the youngster too.

Chris then shared an image of Oliver visiting the Anfield bootroom as he was allowed a few hours out of the hospital.

The young fan seemed to be really happy with the visit, and this goes on to prove that the Reds are doing their bit to keep in touch with the fans. Social media has helped a lot in recent years as fans have an easier way to communicate with the club, and the Reds are taking fantastic advantage of it.

Hopefully, there will be more to cheer for Oliver and the other Liverpool fans when we play Leicester City on Wednesday.

The Reds hold a four-point lead over Manchester City in the Premier League, and City could cut that down to one point before we play the Foxes.
