Former Liverpool midfielder Don Hutchinson believes Mohamed Salah has to play out on the right wing and Liverpool to stick with their 4-3-3 formation.
The Reds looked fantastic in the attack against Bournemouth and could have scored more than the three on Saturday. Salah scored a brilliant goal linking well with Roberto Firmino, and Hutchinson claimed the Egyptian needs to in wide areas as often as possible (h/t Express
):“They were better that Mo Salah was playing off that side, he wasn’t playing as a No 9, he was off the right-hand side up against [Diego] Rico the full-back. Firmino playing through the middle.
“He’s got to play that 4-3-3, Klopp, until the end of the season. He’s got to get Mo Salah one-v-one.”
The former midfielder believes the Reds looked more comfortable in this game than those against Leicester and West Ham.
Hutchinson claimed that “chasing” Manchester City could suit us. However, we still hold the upper hand with a game in hand on the Cityzens.
Liverpool will win the title if they at least match what City do for the rest of the season, however, our title rivals have been in frightening form in recent games. They hammered six past Chelsea in their last game, and we expect a heck of a title battle in the next few months.
