“No room for mistakes”- West Ham star’s Bold Words Set the Stage for Liverpool Clash

West Ham United star Kurt Zouma believes Liverpool clash is a must-win for both teams

West Ham United star Kurt Zouma is raring to go against Liverpool later tonight when both the clubs face off in their Premier League clash at the London stadium.

Both clubs recently crashed out of the UEFA Europa League quarter finals and are going through a poor run of form. Despite having seen their seasonal aspirations drop off, three points would be a welcome relief for both teams.

Liverpool’s title aspirations hang by a thread but unless it is mathematically impossible it is in our best interests to keep going. The Hammers, on the other hand, are safe from relegation and are aware that they have an outside shot at securing European qualification.

Speaking to the club’s official website, Zouma has stated that both the Reds and West Ham are in the same boat. Neither side has any margin for error and one can expect a clash that will not be lacking in effort or motivation.

“They [Liverpool] have no room for mistakes if they want to win the league. We have no room for mistakes if we want to get to Europe.”

A visit to the London Stadium is not easy and the Reds cannot afford to take the result for granted. The Reds’ attack in particular needs to step up and show their presence on the field, something that has been negligible of late. The home crowd will not make it easy either, something that Zouma is aware of.

“It’s going to be a tough game for both teams. With us at home with the fans behind us, hopefully we get the win.”

Jurgen Klopp self-critical of Liverpool team after disappointing Everton loss

David Moyes and his men will be expected to make a statement, especially following their mauling to Crystal Palace last time around. The Hammers crowd will certainly make life difficult for us and it is imperative that Liverpool break that habit of conceding first.

Given the pressure on West Ham right now, there is every reason to believe that Liverpool can turn the home crowd onto their own team should we seize the initiative. By hook or crook, what matters today is for us to come away with all three points in the bag.

With Arne Slot set to take over, it is imperative that we ensure Jurgen Klopp’s final games in charge end on a high. Whatever happens or doesn’t in the title race, it would be unbecoming of the German’s work to throw in the towel before the season is up. It is the least we can do. Starting against West Ham, the Reds should have their eye on the ball. Hopefully, that will be the case.
