James Rodriguez is set to return to Real Madrid after his two-year loan deal at Bayern Munich comes to an end, according to Calciomercato.
The Colombian hasn’t lit up the Allianz Arena in his two years in Germany and the report
adds that Madrid could be looking to move him on.The 27-year-old has attracted interest from Liverpool and rivals Manchester United (h/t Mirror), however, the Italian outlet adds that Juventus are also keeping tabs on the attacking midfielder.
El Confidencial (h/t Calciomercato) claims that Real would set a price of €60m for Rodriguez should Bayern not sign the Colombian permanently.
The report adds that the Spanish side would even accept a more realistic selling price of €50m
for the former Monaco star.Rodriguez can play in several attacking positions and it will be interesting to see where he ends up once the season starts.
The Colombian attacker has just four goals and three assists to his name from 22 games in all competitions this season.
Liverpool could do with another creative talent in the side, however, the asking price for the Colombian could be a sticky point.
Jurgen Klopp recently said that the Reds won’t spend big in the summer and he believes the current crop of players can get better under him.
Hopefully, we strengthen some of the areas in the team as we need another decent left-back and also an attacking midfielder, at least.
