Latest Liverpool transfer news: Fiorentina will sell Federico Chiesa for €100m

Corriere dello Sport (h/t Calciomercato) claims that Fiorentina will sell Liverpool target Federico Chiesa for €100m.

The Italian sensation has scored 12 goals and has provided three assists in all competitions for La Viola this season.

The report adds that Juventus and Inter Milan are also interested in the 21-year-old, but the maximum offer from Juventus is rumoured to be €70m.

Chiesa has the ability to play across the front line or as an attacking midfielder and is one of the brightest players current in the Serie A.

The report adds that Fiorentina are not open to a player plus cash deal and hope a Premier League club matches their valuation of the Italian.

Federico Chiesa

A rising talent in Italy

The youngster would be a quality addition to any top team in Europe, given his age and potential.

Chiesa signed a contract extension with Fiorentina and his deal expires with the Serie A club in 2022.

La Viola aren’t having a great season this time around and lie 10th in the Serie A. It would be a bit of a miracle if they finish in the European places at the end of the campaign.

Chiesa is set for great things if his development continues on the right path. The Reds could do with another attacker in the team, however, the Italian’s asking price seems to be a little steep.

The Reds were big spenders in the previous summer, but Jurgen Klopp recently claimed that he doesn’t expect them to do the same in the coming transfer window.
