The Mirror reports that Liverpool youngster Sheyi Ojo is set to finalise a loan move to Rangers.
The Scottish giants finished second in Steven Gerrard’s debut managerial season, and the former Red is raiding Liverpool again.
Ryan Kent spent last season on loan at the Gers and was named as Scotland’s Young Player of the Year.
The 21-year-old Ojo has had stints at English clubs Fulham, Wigan and Wolves in the past, while he spent last season at French side Reims.
Ojo has eight senior appearances for the Reds but hasn’t been able to cement a place in our first-team squad.
The 21-year-old’s loan spells haven’t always worked out well, but this could be a smart move by the Reds. Ojo needs to play regular football and the loan deal for Kent worked a treat.
The report claims that Kent has been linked with a move to Aston Villa and Leeds United while Rangers want to sign him once again.
Rangers and Gerrard were able to extract a lot from Kent last season, and hopefully, Ojo can perform just as well under the former Liverpool captain.
Liverpool have seen a few of their loan players shine last season (Harry Wilson and Marko Grujic) and it will be interesting to see how our loanees perform this time around.
