Latest Liverpool transfer news: Liam Millar could return to Kilmarnock

Football Scotland (h/t Liverpool Echo) cites the Express claiming that Liverpool youngster Liam Millar could be returning to Scotland.

The report claims that the Reds want the 19-year-old to play first-team football next season.

The Canadian joined Kilmarnock on loan in January 2019 and played 14 games in all competitions for the Scottish side.

The youngster joined Liverpool in 2016 on a free transfer after spending a few years at Fulham.

The 19-year-old is already a part of the senior Canada side and played for the Reds in their 3-1 win over Bradford in pre-season.

The report adds that Liverpool want the youngster to return to Kilmarnock, and the Scottish side have just one senior striker on their books.

However, any move for Millar depends on manager Angelo Alessio (h/t Liverpool Echo).

Liverpool have several rising talents in the side

Millar is another bright talent coming through the ranks at Anfield.

Liverpool have several quality young attackers on their books, and it is unlikely the Canadian will feature in our first-team plans next season.

Rhian Brewster is expected to play some minutes for the first-team while Bobby Duncan and Paul Glatzel also have bright futures ahead of them.
