“Should have kept him or sold him”, “Sensible loan” – Some Liverpool fans split over decision to let winger leave

Liverpool FC transfer news: Wilson joins Bournemouth on season-long loan

Harry Wilson completed a loan move to Bournemouth ahead of the new season. The 22-year-old was excellent at Derby last season and impressed during Liverpool’s summer games.

Wilson joined the Cherries for an initial loan fee of £2.5m with a further £500,000

possible based on performances (h/t Sky Sports).

The Welsh attacker has been great during his loan spells and did well at Hull before joining Derby last season.

The 22-year-old mostly plays out wide but can operate as an attacking midfielder too. Bournemouth have signed several Liverpool players in the past and hopefully, we see Wilson shine under Eddie Howe.

Wilson cannot be signed by Bournemouth

The report adds that there is no option to buy the Welshman in the loan deal and Wilson sees his future at Anfield.

This is a decent move for the Welshman and it will be a true test of his abilities. The youngster needs to play regularly in the Premier League and can be judged if he is good enough to play for the Reds.

Howe is one of the best managers in the division and he should be able to get the best out of Wilson.

Liverpool haven’t signed a replacement for Wilson and have been relatively quiet in this transfer window. Several fans were split regarding the decision to let Wilson leave on loan, with some claiming that the deal was good, while others questioned the move.
