Liverpool will face Arsenal in the game of the weekend on Saturday as both clubs try to keep their 100% records going.
The two are the only Premier League clubs to have won their opening two fixtures this season, and the Reds will try to repeat their Anfield performance from the previous campaign.
Liverpool ran out 5-1 winners against the Gunners but they will be without Naby Keita. The Mirror (h/t Daily Star) claims that the Guinea midfielder hasn’t recovered from a muscle problem in the hip.
The former RB Leipzig midfielder didn’t feature in our previous game and only made a substitute appearance against Manchester City in the Community Shield.
The report claims that Keita is expected to be out for a while, and this will be a huge blow to his hopes of sealing a place in our starting XI.
The midfielder faced similar problems in the previous campaign and missed the Champions League final too.
Keita’s summer was also affected by an injury as his Africa Cup of Nations journey came to a quick end and he returned to Merseyside for further treatment.
The Guinea midfielder hasn’t been able to stay fit for a stretch of games, and that has hurt his chances of playing at his best.
Hopefully, the 23-year-old comes back stronger and remains fit for the majority of this season. Keita faces a lot of competition for the midfield spots, especially after the return of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
