Liverpool overtake Man United in average audience views in the Premier League

According to Liverpool Echo, Liverpool have overtaken arch-rivals Manchester United as far as drawing average TV audiences are concerned.

In an exclusive survey conducted by Liverpool Echo, an average of 1,662,801 people in Britain have watched each of Liverpool’s televised league games in the 2019/20 season. That comfortably gulfs Manchester United, whose matches have brought in an average of 1,520,948 viewers.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men are placed second in that list with the rest of the ‘big six’ occupying the remaining spots. The report further states that the match that draws the highest number of views continues to be Liverpool versus Manchester United.

That is not surprising since the report goes on to claim that the two clubs have the largest fan bases across the world right now.

Jurgen Klopp replies to United fan

Liverpool have been simply unstoppable and have won the Champions League as well as the Club World Cup in succession. Winning the elusive Premier League trophy would indeed propel us to greater heights and considering the lead that we have, we are on course to doing just that this season.

As far as finances are concerned, the rise in TV viewership would boost our overall treasury and that does come as great news since we are growing at a rapid rate.

That said, let’s hope the Premier League trophy brings us an increased flow of good fortune. It is definitely about time that we lifted the glorious title as a new era under Klopp takes shape.
