Liverpool target Diego Carlos responds to transfer speculations

Sevilla star Diego Carlos, who has been linked with a switch to Liverpool and Barcelona, has claimed he is focused on completing the season (h/t Metro).

The 27-year-old Carlos joined Sevilla from French club FC Nantes only last summer. In his debut season in Spain, the Brazilian has performed exceptionally, making a solid impression. Prior to the season getting suspended, Carlos featured 31 times for Sevilla, scoring two goals

Carlos’ impressive performances for the Spanish outfit have put him on the radars of our club. Along with Liverpool and Barcelona, Real Madrid have also been credited with an interest in the Brazilian (h/t Metro).

And opening up on these transfer speculations, Carlos has stated that he is completely focused on completing the season strongly with Sevilla and the talks of a transfer will have to wait (h/t Metro

“What I think about is to finish the league as good as possible and I leave that for later. I am focused exclusively on playing and finishing the season with Sevilla as good as possible.”

With Dejan Lovren’s future at the club shrouded with uncertainty, bringing in a new centre-back in the summer would be a smart move for Liverpool.
