Newcastle United interested in signing Liverpool’s Rhian Brewster

A report from The Telegraph has claimed that Newcastle United are keen on signing Liverpool youngster Rhian Brewster on loan for the coming season.

The youngster spent the second half of the last season on loan at Swansea City in the Championship, and impressed heavily. Having now returned to first-team training with Liverpool, it hasn’t come as too much of a surprise that the likes of Newcastle are keen on his services.

It has been claimed that the Magpies have asked to be kept updated regarding Brewster’s situation at Anfield. Although the Toon club’s interest has been confirmed, whether or not this deal happen could come down to Jurgen Klopp’s view on the matter. Brewster, at this stage in his career, needs regular playing time in order to develop properly. That, however, is not guaranteed at Liverpool at the time being. Thus, a loan deal could work out well for all parties involved.
