Liverpool can finally breathe a sigh of relief with the trio of Diogo Jota, Alisson and Fabinho set to return to the side ahead of the Chelsea clash. With so many players still recovering from their respective injuries, the return of these three will no doubt be a huge boost for beleaguered Jurgen Klopp. (h/t Mirror)
All three players were involved in training ahead of a vital clash with Chelsea. Fabinho suffered a muscle injury in the Tottenham game and hasn’t played since. The Brazilian was mostly used as a defender before his injury but now he might just be able to return to his favoured midfield position with the arrivals of Ozan Kabak and Ben Davies in defence.
Alisson was allowed compassionate leave for the Sheffield United game after his father tragically passed away. Adrian played out that game, keeping a clean sheet during the 2-0 win.
Lastly, the biggest boost for Liverpool will be the return of Diogo Jota ahead of the Chelsea game. The forward was injured in the Reds’ Champions League group game last year and it was a huge blow for the side. His form prior to that was excellent and with the Reds struggling to find some goals, Jota’s return should ease the issue.
