Alberto Moreno proves his Liverpool loyalty with fantastic dig at Manchester United

Alberto Moreno takes digs at Manchester United in video after Europa League win, sends message to Liverpool fans

Speaking in a video, former Liverpool player Alberto Moreno sent a message to Liverpool fans and took multiple digs at Manchester United on his Instagram account, just minutes after Villarreal’s Europa League win. (h/t Liverpool Echo)

Villarreal took on Manchester United in the final of the UEFA Europa League in Gdansk on Wednesday. Gerard Moreno opened the scoring for the Yellow Submarine but Edinson Cavani equalized in the 55th minute.

The scoreline remained at 1-1 after 120 minutes, with a penalty shootout resulting in a win for the La Liga side. 21 penalties in total were scored consecutively until Geronimo Rulli saved David de Gea’s effort.

Alberto Moreno gave a shoutout to Liverpool fans in a video he uploaded after beating Manchester United with Villarreal in the Europa League final.

That proved to be the decisive save and Moreno, who left Liverpool after winning the UEFA Champions League in 2019, lifted his second Europa League trophy.

Moreno trolls United

His other Europa League win came with Sevilla, the side he lost the trophy against in the 2016 final with the Reds. And as warranted, the 28-year-old was seen celebrating heavily after the match.

Moreno went live on his Instagram account, where a lot of Liverpool fans flooded his comment section, and he went on to say:

“For all the fans of Liverpool, Vamos (let’s go)! Man United, get out! Get out, Man United, get out Siempre, in my heart.”

There was also another video of Moreno on the field after the game where he said “You’ll Never Walk Alone’. It’s great to see the ex-Liverpool not forget the club he played for from 2014 to 2019.

More Liverpool News:

He was on the end of some harsh criticism during his time at Liverpool. But both he and the club seemed to have found a solution later on – with Jurgen Klopp buying Andy Robertson and Moreno moving back to La Liga.
