Transfer News: Liverpool ace Harry Wilson close to Fulham move
According to news from the Independent, Liverpool winger Harry Wilson is on the verge of completing a transfer to Fulham this summer.
The 24-year-old Wilson has been regarded as one of the most talented youngsters to have come through the Liverpool academy. However, given the attacking riches at the club, he has been constantly farmed out on loan season after season.
Wilson, to date, has had temporary stints away at Crewe Alexandra, Hull City, Derby County, Bournemouth and Cardiff City. He has made just two senior appearances for the Reds, both of which have come in cup competitions.
Wilson spent the last season out on loan with Cardiff and did quite for himself, racking up seven goals and 12 assists from 38 games in all competitions. Now back at Liverpool, the Wales international still finds himself well down the pecking order.
So, it only makes sense for all parties involved that a permanent departure is agreed upon. And, that may very well be the case as EFL Championship outfit Fulham are now poised to land the 24-year-old winger on a permanent transfer.
Wilson had been generating plenty of interest from Portuguese giants Benfica, as per the report. However, the Cottagers have swiftly jumped ahead of the competition to position themselves to close the transfer.
