“Trent is different gravy”- Some fans react as Liverpool secure comfortable 2-0 win over Burnley

Fans react as Liverpool secure dominant Premier League win over Burnley

Liverpool wrapped up their first home win of the season against Burnley in the Premier League with a 2-0 scoreline. Burnley carved the occasional chance but Liverpool were simply too good against their opponents on the day.

Diogo Jota opened the scoring as early as the 19th minute, ghosting behind the Burnley defenders to head in a Kostas Tsimikas cross. That made it consecutive goals in consecutive games for the Portuguese.

Liverpool had a goal ruled out from Mohamed Salah by the thinnest of margins by VAR. That meant the home side went down the tunnel with a narrow lead in their hands. Liverpool barely had to shift gears through the game as they kept creating opportunities with relative ease but not being able to find the net.

A superb bit of link-up play between Harvey Elliott, Trent Alexander Arnold opened up a chance for Sadio Mane to slam home the second goal. Burnley tested Alisson on a few occasions but the keeper saved with aplomb.
