“Biggest dream”- Promising 20-year-old starlet reveals his dream to play for Liverpool

Transfer News: Celtic forward Liel Abada dreams of playing for Liverpool

In conversation with sports.co.il (h/t Liverpool Echo), 20-year-old Celtic forward Liel Abada has revealed his dream of playing for European giants Liverpool.

The youngster joined the Scottish club this season from Maccabi Petah Tikva. The Israeli signed a 5-year-contract with Celtic and is excited about his career ahead. He has already scored 3 goals and provided 3 assists for the club in the Scottish Premiership in 8 games so far.

He spoke about his ambitions and dream to play in England one day:

“My dream was and remains to play in England, in one of the teams in the Premier League. The biggest dream is Liverpool, but I have to keep working hard here to prove myself.”

Liel Abada has made a significant impact at Celtic F.C. so far 20-year-old forward

It is a dream for many young footballers to join one of the most prestigious clubs in England nay the world. The youngster has impressed with his performances but still has a long way to go before making it to the radar of the Reds.

The Reds have also taken a keen liking to purchase young players and letting them grow through the ranks into the first team. Harvey Elliott is a good example of this but will, unfortunately, be out for a long time due to a rather unfortunate injury against Leeds United.

Kaide Gordon was also recently purchased from Derby Couty for an initial fee of £1million, which could rise to £3million with add-ons. He made his senior debut in Liverpool’s last Carabao Cup fixture against Norwich City.

Jurgen Klopp is not averse to giving youth a chance and has proven himself adept at nurturing talent. Curtis Jones is one of the latest examples to have made a great impact in the senior squad. Trent Alexander-Arnold is another homegrown scouser who has achieved big things with his boyhood club.

That being said all of these players were either on Liverpool’s radar or came through the academy. There hasn’t been any rumour linking Liel Abada to make the switch to Anfield. Whether the youngster’s ambition and determination have caught the eye of those within the managerial hierarchy at the Merseyside club remains to be seen.
