“Absolutely incredible”- Klopp labels former LFC ace “one of the best players” he has ever worked with

Jurgen Klopp believes former Liverpool star Adam Lallana is one of the best players he has ever worked with.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has labelled Adam Lallana as one of the best players he has ever worked with.

The 33-year-old was one of the key weapons that Klopp inherited when he took over at Anfield. The Englishman enjoyed an impactful spell under the German manager and 22 goals in 178 appearances during his time at the club. He was part of the Reds side that won the UEFA Champions League, Premier League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup titles.

Lallana will be part of the Brighton side that will arrive at Anfield to take on Liverpool tomorrow. Speaking ahead of the game, Klopp was more than enthusiastic.

Adam Lallana won the Premier League under Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp in 2020.

When asked about the midfielder, Jurgen Klopp gave him absolute respect and admiration. He went on to add that Lallana set high standards for the whole team.

“It was really impressive. What I loved about him, a footballer player with the technical skills he has and then this working mentality is really rare.”

Last summer, Lallana moved to Brighton as a free agent. With a reunion on the cards, Klopp gave a hint about his feelings about it.

“He is one of the best players I have ever worked with. Absolutely incredible person as well. I am really looking forward to seeing him again.”

This Brighton side led by Graham Potter has been quite good against Liverpool in the past. They defeated the Reds at Anfield last season 1-0 and held them in a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture. S

Adam Lallana scored 22 goals for the Reds.

Brighton lost to City in the weekend by 4-1, but the Liverpool manager believes there are enough positives for the Seagulls to take home from that match. He praised their approach to that match and how they managed to keep the ball away from City and maintain possession.

Klopp also believes that the crowd at Anfield will be the primary source of courage for Liverpool as they look to build on the 5-0 demolition of Manchester United. The home atmosphere will surely help them take control of the game. After all, nothing less than three points will do.
