Jorge Mendes trying to fix up a deal between Liverpool and Fabio Carvalho
According to Daily Mail (h/t Liverpoolecho), Jorge Mendes is working on completing a deal with Liverpool for his client Fabio Carvalho.
The Reds have been linked with the 19-year-old since the recent few weeks. The Fulham winger has become a target for top European teams, including Real Madrid and Barcelona.
The Reds contingent are preparing for the absence of their African duo. Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mané are set to miss several crucial games in January due to the African Cup of Nations.
The Portuguese player seems to be a great choice looking at his recent stats for Fulham. The 19-years-old player scored 12 goals in 21 matches for The Cottagers last season across all competition. Despite a toe injury this season, he has scored three goals in seven games.
The Fulham academy player has moved up in the pecking order in the senior team. His recent stats suggest that he can be a huge goalscoring asset for Jurgen Klopp’s team.
This year the Whites have an excellent opportunity to qualify for the Premier League, having won 12 games in 17 games. But manager Marco Silva wouldn’t want to lose his player in the middle of the season.
The Portuguese manager stated that they are working on the renewal deal as they want to hold onto an essential team player.
Carvalho is a client of Jorge Mendes, whose relationship with the Merseyside team has improved in recent times. He laid the pathway for Diogo Jota’s move from Wolves last year.

It would be interesting to see if the Cottagers’ management’s reaction to the possibility of losing another young prospect to the Mersyside team after having lost Harvey Elliott back in 2019.
Liverpool would have to perform consistently throughout the season to regain the Premier League title. In such a case, the young winger can become a massive help to the Reds squad in January.
