Liverpool target Kylian Mbappe ”set to leave PSG” on a free transfer
According to the Spanish newspaper Diario AS (h/t LiverpoolEcho), Liverpool target Kylian Mbappe has rejected all the offers made by Paris Saint-Germain and is set to leave for free in the summer.
Kylian Mbappe, no doubt, is one of the best youngsters in the world of football, and his current career trajectory could see him become the world’s best player in the years to come.
But it does not appear as if PSG will be privy to that success. The 22-year-old has rejected two different renewal proposals made by the Parisian board, and the current talks have reached a ”stalemate.”
This could be a massive advantage for the Merseyside team, who remains interested in luring the youngster to Anfield. However, their chances could be slim because of Real Madrid’s intentions.
Los Blancos unsuccessfully attempted to lure the world cup winner last summer. They even went on to offer a massive amount of €200m (£171.7m) to the Paris-based team for the Frenchman’s services. However, Nasser Al-Khelaifi’sAl-Khelaifi’s board remained firm and rejected the multiple offers made by the Madrid giants.
After the transfer saga, Mbappe publicly claimed that he informed the club of his desire to leave and wanted the club to gain some money out of the deal. It would appear that the ship has now sailed on the latter.
It is highly likely that Mbappe is going to leave PSG in the summer, but the past transfer saga suggests that he could be more inclined to a future at Santiago Bernabeu. The French superstar has spoken about Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo’s influence on his football career.
He closely followed the Portuguese player’s success story with the La Casa Blanca. This suggests that he could have an intention to replicate that story with Real Madrid.

However, there is much time left for the summer transfer window, and until he joins a new club, nothing can be considered conclusive. The Reds board would need to find any loopholes and prepare a lucrative offer with a positive sporting project to convince the player.
