But Sportbild (h/t Mirror), Bayern Munich have started negotiations to renew the contract of Liverpool target Kingsley Coman. 

The Frenchman’s injuries this season have prevented him from having a viable impact on Bayern’s performances on a regular basis. The forward has a significant portfolio of titles and has a lot of experience playing in major leagues around Europe.

The 25-year-old forward has bagged four goals in 10 Bundesliga appearances

Liverpool were believed to be in the race for Coman’s signature. But it seems Bayern has found a way to keep hold of their star player. It is believed that Die Rotten have opened talks with the French forward to renew his contract. 

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane have been in scintillating form this season. But Jurgen Klopp would have to find a way to continue the Reds’ success even in the absence of the African duo as they are set to depart for the African Cup of Nations in January.

Attacking reinforcements are a priority going into the winter window, but it seems the Reds wouldn’t be able to lure Coman to fill that position. 

Klopp could have used Coman’s tremendous experience in top-flight football. The French man mostly plays in the midfield channels and helps carry the ball forward. With his impeccable dribbling and top-notch passing skills, he certainly poses a threat to the opponent team.

But Klopp would face massive difficulty in luring the French international to Anfield if he signs a new long term contract with Bayern.
